- The main stock available to the CSFA is made up of legally deposited Albanian-made films produced by Albanian film-makers, and productions of the state-run film industry the beginnings of which date back to 1953, following the establishment of the “Shqipëria e Re” Film Studio, which closed down in 1992.
- The stock run by the CSFA is enriched with private Albanian film productions, and foreign co-productions. This practice started as early as 1992.
- The stock of films also incorporates legally deposited archive materials collected through the nationalization of all the artistic films, documentaries and chronicles that are foreign productions, beginning from the first shows of films in Albanian down to the close of the Second World War. 
- The CSFA-run stock contains also filmic materials deposited in conformity with Law “For the Legal Depositing”, in force as early as 1945. This is the time when, in line with the new official agreements, foreign filmmakers restart making films, and the first Albanian filmmakers carry cameras themselves.
- The stock possessed by the CSFA also includes a copy of foreign productions purchased by the state-owned Book and Film Distribution Enterprise;
- Various donations;
- Archival filming;
- Materials on Albanian filming provided by other archives through exchange programs;
- VHS-format feature and documentary films, which have been made jointly with various television co-producers, and funded by the Film National Centre, as well as others submitted to the CSFA voluntarily;
 
Besides the collection of the original negative copies of films in pellicle, and the positive copies for archival purposes, the CSFA stores and protects other materials on the history of the motion pictures, such as the literary script, the director’s script, the editing lists, still pictures, advertisement materials for films, the scores of the film music, and film posters.

This original documentation is accompanied by other numerous bibliographical data, press materials, various publications on films, pictures on the history of cinematography, biographical data on the Albanian filmmakers, as well as documentation on the equipment, and everything else worth exhibiting in the film museum.
