• The Restoration Department oversees the condition of films. To this effect, it conducts daily systematic checks concerning the airing of films. 
• It checks on the films going in and out of the CSFA, and takes care of the washing and cleaning of films by means of a washing machine.
• It is involved in the restoration of the photocopies of films, out of which it has succeeded in obtaining:

Printings of nitrate films into acetate films, d/negative and positive – 1,027 acts of films
Printings of new positive copies – 548 acts of films
Printings of d/positive films – 106 acts
