Preservation and restoration of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Heritage

Following the opening conference of the project Balkans' Memory, which was held on June 1st 2012 in Zagreb, Ina EXPERT organises the first event of a series of seminars and trainings. These events, devoted to the preservation and the promotion of the audiovisual and cinematographic heritage will be carried on until July 2014, in the Western Balkans.
The first 3-day seminar, organized with our partner AQSHF, the National Film Archive of Albania, will take place in Tirana, from 6 to 8 November 2012.
The focus of this workshop is to support the archives' managers of the Balkans in answering the following questions: What am I provided with ? Which formats ? Which defaults and characteristics are related to such formats ? Which materials are the most in danger ? How can I preserve and maintain them before digitization ?
Theoretical courses, debates and visits led by specialists in the domain will be delivered in English to 15 professionals coming from the targeted countries of the Western Balkans.
