This story of love and revenge in the highlands was based on Ismail Kadare's novel Dasma (or Lekura e daulles). Cinema scholar Julian Bejko and director Piro Milkani will discuss its fascinating production history. Don't miss this opportunity presented by the AQSHF and the Albanian Cinematheque.
Why is the Drum Beating
Description: Adaptation of on the novel "The Wedding" of Ismail Kadare. Katrina and Xhavit, are two young volunteers who fall in love working to build a railway and decide to marry each other. But, Katrina's father, a highlander, who has engaged his daughter without her approval, cannot accept this marriage and goes in the wedding with the purpose to shoot Katrina. But what happens?
