DISTANT CONSTELLATION by Shevan Mizrahi 2018
The Albanian National Film Archive invites you this Wednesday, March 6th, 19:00 at the Kinema Agimi for the fourth offering in our 'Treasures from the Archive' series.
Our aim is not only to bring our own cinema discoveries to Tirana audiences, but also exceptional films from our region and the world.
This next week please join us for the Albanian premiere of a special documentary that many critics have voted as one of the best films of 2018. DISTANT CONSTELLATION marks the debut of director, cinematographer and editor Shevan Mizrahi. This hypnotic film brings to life the wise, funny and tragic characters living inside a Turkish retirement home, a lost universe shadowed by an enormous Istanbul construction project. Mizrahi's wonderfully delicate vision has taken awards at the Viennale, St, Petersburg, Locarno festivals and Best Balkan doc at last years DokuFest.
Some cinema writers have compared DISTANT CONSTELLATION to the work of master Andrei Tarkovsky. Come see for yourself.
